Apologies for this late-in-the-year posting of the second sosol issue of 2003. It contains two articles. The first addresses the issue of memorialising in sport by comparing two case-studies, while the second reflects on the process of building diaspora networks through e-communication. Both discuss very current issues in relation to how sport continues to create and be reflected in our modern society. Any specific responses to them, in addition to further general submissions, would be most welcome for the next edition.
