Editorial
Volume 5 Issue 1

This first edition of sosol in 2002 includes two papers. The first by Lesley Wright and Tanya Reeves explores the value of a tri-partite axiology to understanding commercialism in sport, while the second by Robyn Zevenbergen, Allan Edwards and James Skinner examines the culture of junior golf from a Bourdieuian perspective.

The edition also marks an attempt to better produce electronic manuscripts through the numbering of paragraphs, hence making the contents appears more structured to the reader. We are aware, from both our reflections and your feedback, that reading electronic documents and making sense of them remains somewhat problematic. Thus, this is an attempt to produce an easier read and consequently a better product. We'd be interested in your comments.

The next edition of sosol is earmarked as another general one; we look forward to receiving further submissions.
