sosol submission guidelines

Authors wishing to submit manuscripts to SOSOL should adhere to the following guidelines. Please note that all correspondence and submissions to SOSOL with the exceptions of books to be reviewed, should be conducted via e-mail.

Manuscripts
Should be sent either as an e-mail attachment in Word for Windows or in Rich Text Format (RTF), with an e-mail cover note.

Format and referencing
Manucripts must be in English, typewritten in double spacing, following the style guidelines of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (4th ed.). Main articles should be between 5000 to 8000 words, with student articles approximately 2000 words. References should appear at the end of the manuscript, while tables and figures should be clearly labelled. Manuscripts should be preceded by an abstract of between 75-125 words. Footnotes should not be included in the submission.
Cover sheet
The first page of the manuscript should contain the full title of the manuscript, name(s) of the author(s), institutional affiliation(s), date of submission, up to six key words for indexing and the conventional and email address of the author responsible for correspondence.
Title page
The title page should omit the name(s), institutiuonal affiliation(s), address and email of the author(s), therefore should only include the title, date of submission.
Student Submissions
All student submissions should be co-authored by supervisor; e-mail address and contact details of all authors should appear on submission.
