Visiting scholar programme

The School of Physical Education has an active throughput of visitors. We host several visiting scholars from other universities each year; listed below are some of the most recent visitors to our school.

Dr Ali ZareiDr Ali Zarei

Visiting the School from 7th Dec 2010 till 7th May 2011 with his family, Ali obtained his Doctoral Degree in 2002 from Azad University, Tehran, Iran in Management and Programming in Physical Education. Ali’s field of study is Leisure studies with a research focus in Campus recreation. He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Education at the Central Tehran campus with teaching commitments in Sport management, programming and leisure studies.

Ali has been involved with a number of international congresses, namely: The 21st FISU/ CESU Conference Beijing, China, 2001: 2nd World Congress of Sociology of sport, Cologne, Germany, 2003-Utrecht,Netherlands, 2009 Gotenberg, Sweden, 2010,. Leisure Studies Association Conference, Bristol, England, 2006, and Liverpool, England, 2008.
