In Black and White

Black and White, a memoir of Jim and Emmy Bellwood, authored by Wyn Beasley (husband of one of the 1948 Guinea Pigs, Alice (Clark) was launched on Friday March 28th at The Wellington Club, Wellington. Emmy Bellwood was one of the first staff employed at the School of Physical Education and is credited with not only introducing gymnastics to New Zealand, but also proving an inspiration to her students. Black and White aptly restores and preserves the historical importance of Emmy Bellwood’s contributions to the School and New Zealand Physical Education. Congratulations and thank you Wyn.

Black and White can be purchased for a donation of $10 or more. Email pe60reunion@otago.ac.nz. All proceeds will be added to the Philip Ashton Smithells memorial scholarship fund.
